WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The Account Manager establishes and develops profitable customer relationships, achieves revenue as well as margin targets, and identifies growth opportunities. As primary customer contact, he/she coordinates internal resources, negotiates contractual terms, and ensures target achievement through regular reporting. The Account Manager lives the BTC PACE values and works in line with local law, BASF compliance guidelines, and business-critical processes (e.g. PULs).

  • You develop and execute account plans in line with the overall strategy, actively drive new business, and leverage cross-selling opportunities.
  • Analyzing market and competitor trends, translating insights into growth opportunities, and supporting the launch of new products and applications is part of your responsibilities.
  • You manage your customer portfolio with a focus on growth and financial targets, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure transparent documentation in Salesforce.
  • In addition, you take ownership of price management, promote the full portfolio, and lead customer negotiations.
  • As a central interface, you coordinate internal and external stakeholders, ensure smooth customer-facing processes, and collaborate closely with local and European teams while contributing to digitalization and continuously developing your expertise.

WHAT YOU OFFER

  • master’s degree in business or life science
  • professional experience in relevant application technologies and industry know-how
  • several years of professional experience in application technology or in sales of products for the cosmetics industry
  • strong knowledge in contract negotiations, account planning, and customer relationship management, ideally with Salesforce experience
  • fluent German and advanced English skills, plus confident use of IT tools and MS Office applications proactive team player with excellent communication skills, intercultural competence, and a growth-driven mindset willingness to travel, mainly in Germany
