As Business Development Intern (m/f/x) German-speaking , you will learn the fundamentals of B2B lead generation by researching target accounts and identifying enterprise opportunities. Working alongside experienced sales professionals, you will master modern sales tools and strategies to learn what it takes to drive market growth across the DACH region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research target accounts and qualify potential B2B opportunities while learning key sales pipeline fundamentals.
- Learn how to identify customer pain points and digital testing use cases to help build trust-based relationships with key enterprise decision-makers.
- Get hands-on training with industry-standard sales tools (such as Salesforce, SalesLoft, and more) and methodologies to actively support our growth in the DACH market.
- Act as the first point of contact for prospective clients while brainstorming and testing your own innovative lead generation strategies.
- Work closely with our experienced Sales and Business Development Representatives, absorbing best practices while bringing your own fresh ideas to the team.
- Represent Applause at international trade shows and (remote) events, laying the groundwork for your personal professional network in the tech industry.
Job Requirements and Preferred Skills:
- You are a current student or recent graduate available for a full-time internship with a minimum duration of 6 months.
- You are curious, proactive, and feel comfortable reaching out to and engaging with potential decision-makers.
- You have high resilience, a thick skin for handling rejections, and a mindset motivated by numbers, targets, and challenges.
- You bring good organizational and time-management skills to structure your daily projects and outreach cadences effectively.
- You bring excellent communication skills with native/fluent German and fluent English.
- Nice to have: You have gained initial experience in customer-facing roles (e.g., previous internships, working student positions, or customer support); experience in B2B or the IT/tech sector is a strong plus.
