Embedded Linux Intern (m/w/d)

Role Description The Embedded Linux Intern role is a full-time remote position supporting the development, configuration, and maintenance of Linux-based systems used in robotic platforms. Day-to-day work includes
- setting up and managing embedded Linux environments,
- configuring operating systems, and supporting system integration and testing. You'll help
- diagnose and resolve system-level issues,
- contribute to documentation of configurations and procedures, and
- collaborate with engineering teams to keep infrastructure stable and secure. This role offers hands-on experience with robotics-related software stacks, exposure to automation tools, and a chance to build strong system administration and troubleshooting habits.
Qualifications
- Linux system administration and operating systems experience, with an interest in embedded and real-time environments
- Familiarity with Unix, basic networking, system configuration, and resource monitoring
- Strong troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing performance issues and debugging configuration or deployment problems
- Basic scripting (Bash or Python) and version control (Git) is a plus
- Enrolled in or completed a degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field
Comfortable working independently in a remote setting and communicating clearly with a distributed team - Familiarity with embedded dev tools, containerization (e.g. Docker), or security best practices is a plus
