Engineer (m/w/d) (Ingenieur/in - Maschinenbau)

Your Tasks:

• Provide support to the sales team regarding technical matters related to customer inquiries.
• Support and execute project launches from the stages of functional samples, B samples, and C samples through to the start of mass production.
• Serve as the technical liaison between the customer’s engineering team and the technical team in Japan.
• Regularly conduct web conferences and meetings with customers, the Japan team, and joint meetings involving both parties.
• Accompany the sales team on customer visits.
• Also be responsible for the limited duties listed below.
• Conduct initial inspections of products returned due to quality claims and assist in preparing appropriate “8D reports.”
• Perform sourcing activities to procure components from European suppliers, such as gearboxes, encoders, and sensors, in order to enhance local added value of products.
• Support the expansion of local R&D functions (laboratories, testing facilities, etc.).
• Collaborate with the engineering team in Japan to benchmark competitor products (performance comparison and analysis).
• Support and participate in trade exhibitions.
• Evaluate and identify technical customization requirements requested by customers regarding our products. Also collaborate with the technical team in Japan to prepare appropriate proposals.

Your Profile:

• Bachelor degree in engineering: Knowledge in mechanics or electronics
• IT-Knowledge: Microsoft Office, ERP-System (Microsoft business central)
• Working independently
• Negotiation skills
• Fluent in English and Japanese OR Fluent in English and German
