Finance Manager - fully remote within Europe (m/f/d)

• Monitoring and executing payment transactions with precision and attention to detail.
• Responsibility for preparing the monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB (German GAAP).
• Taking ownership of JobLeads' accounting processes and supporting their transition in-house (insourcing).
• Working closely with external tax advisors on tax matters, including VAT compliance.
• Assessing existing accounting processes and identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
• Ensuring high accounting standards and the timely preparation of financial reporting.
• Supporting the accounting activities of several entities and taking responsibility for the consolidation of all three entities.
• Independently recording business transactions while providing oversight and professional guidance where needed.

Collaborating with stakeholders across the company — in both German and English. Helping to build scalable processes and controls that support future growth.

• In your first three months: assessing the current accounting landscape, identifying key challenges and opportunities, and developing a clear roadmap for the successful insourcing of the accounting processes.
• Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external advisors to ensure alignment and a smooth transition.
• Within the first six months: leading the successful insourcing of accounting activities for the German entity and taking responsibility for day-to-day accounting operations.
• Implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, compliance, and scalability as the company continues to grow.

• At least 8 years of professional experience in accounting or financial accounting.
• Sound knowledge of HGB (German GAAP) and German tax regulations.
• Fluent, business-level German and English.
• Experience working with multiple entities and/or consolidation processes.
• Strong diligence and a high standard of accuracy.
• A structured, reliable, and independent way of working.
• Strong communication skills with an analytical and solution-oriented mindset.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience with DATEV Unternehmen Online.
• Experience with NetSuite, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems.
• Experience in a digital, international, or fast-growing business environment.
• The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
• Experience leading accounting process improvements or accounting insourcing projects.
