Financial Accountant - General Ledger (m/f/d)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform general ledger accounting in compliance with local GAAP (HGB), US GAAP, and internal accounting policies
• Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities
• Reconcile, analyze, and evaluate balance sheet accounts
• Support the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, including statutory fiscal year-end close
• Prepare statutory reports, including VAT returns
• Support internal and external audits and respond to audit inquiries
• Contribute to the documentation, standardization, and continuous improvement of accounting processes
• Collaborate closely with local and international finance stakeholders
• Participate in cross-functional, finance-related optimization projects

YOUR SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting within an international company
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a focus on Accounting, or completed vocational training (e.g. certified accountant)
• Solid knowledge of German GAAP (HGB); US GAAP knowledge is an advantage
• Strong SAP skills (S/4HANA or another ERP system) and very good MS Office skills, especially Excel and Outlook
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Structured, reliable, and proactive working style
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in an international team
• Strong commitment to meeting deadlines
• Open and effective communication skills
• Continuous improvement mindset with a strong focus on process and task optimization
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel
• Very good German and English language skills
