Intern Product Management - Customer-Facing Sales Design System (Mandatory Internship) (m/f/d)
Workbench is the central design system behind Mercedes-Benz customer-facing sales websites worldwide and beyond. It is the brand-approved single source of compliant digital brand and design guidelines for more than 50 touchpoints across Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes-AMG, and Mercedes-Maybach, ranging from component libraries and design tokens to documentation and governance. Our team sits in the Solution Management and Architecture department of MB.OC (Mercedes-Benz Omnichannel) and works daily with designers, developers, architects, and brand stakeholders across the globe. Following the successful global go-live of our latest Digital Design version in September this year, we are shaping the next chapter: scaling adoption to new touchpoints, modernizing our documentation platform, and making the design system readable and usable by AI tools.
Your tasks:
- Support the Product Manager in steering the Workbench product, including product direction activities, request handovers to other product teams, roadmap planning, budget management, stakeholder management, and coordination of design teams
- Prepare content for management, markets, and stakeholders (presentations, product one-pagers, release and go-live communications, newsletters)
- Track and visualize adoption: tenant onboarding status, usage and impact metrics, and reporting for management
- Support tenant and stakeholder management (meeting preparation, minutes, follow-ups, and maintenance of our stakeholder overview)
- Contribute to our AI-readiness initiative (research, structuring, and testing of machine-readable design system content)
- Benchmark and research how other design systems and companies address adoption, governance, and documentation
- Help prepare and facilitate team formats such as workshops, weekly calls, and market broadcasts
- Provide ad hoc support to the wider team on Solution Management topics across the Mercedes-Benz Omnichannel portfolio
- Studies in the field of Business Administration, Business Informatics, Media/Communication Management, Digital Business, Industrial Engineering or comparable studies
- The internship is a mandatory part of your study regulations
- Structured, self-organised way of working, strategic thinking ability, and willingness to take ownership of your own topics
- Strong communication skills; very good English (written and spoken), German is a plus
- Confident with MS 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Teams); first experience with Jira, Confluence, Figma or agile frameworks (SAFe) is a plus
- Genuine interest in digital products, design, brand experience and AI-supported ways of working
- Please note that your internship at this location must be mandatory.
What we offer:
