In this position, you are responsible on a shift basis for the entire technical area of a fulfillment center. You lead maintenance teams and, together with them, ensure smooth operations and improved availability of conveyor and building systems. You coordinate and optimize production processes and contribute to a safe working environment. Additionally, you are responsible for ensuring that all inspections and maintenance activities are carried out on schedule.

  • Shift responsibility for the maintenance team as well as for all automated sorting and conveyor systems, industrial trucks, and building systems.
  • Design of training and development plans for your employees.
  • Ensuring the highest possible availability of all systems and the implementation of modern maintenance approaches such as Condition Based Maintenance (CBM).
  • Implementation of all necessary safety standards and a proactive safety culture within the team.
  • Promoting the continuous development of all team members in hard and soft skills to support the growth of Amazon Operations.
  • Development of concepts for the continuous optimization of all systems according to Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Leading and supporting technical greenfield and brownfield projects.
  • Planning and adherence to the maintenance budget for the site.
  • Evaluation of relevant KPIs for the analysis of technical systems and internal processes.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
  • Experience with computers, including MS Excel, Word and Office

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master's degree, or Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • Experience with preventive maintenance procedures, industrial electrical, industrial controls, and industrial electronics & robotics
  • Experience working with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) integrators
  • Experience maintaining material handling equipment and integrated systems
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience with statistical analysis
