Mechanical Engineer (w/m/d) (Ingenieur/in - Maschinenbau)

Your Responsibilities:

• Planning, design and implementation of water-,foam- and gas-based fire protection systems
• Technical review andevaluation of customer requirements, specifications and contractualdocumentation
• Preparation of technical specifications, tenderdocuments and requests for quotation
• Coordination and optimization ofinterfaces with other disciplines, departments and customer facilities
• Review and approval of engineering, manufacturing and qualitydocumentation provided by external contractors
• Participation in designreviews and development of technically and commercially viablesolutions
• Coordination of the preparation and provision of customerand project documentation
• Management and coordination of externalcontractors and suppliers in accordance with project and siterequirements
• Monitoring of schedules, costs, quality and engineeringefforts within the assigned area of responsibility Support innegotiations as well as change order and claim management
• Participation in the selection, development and qualification ofsuppliers
• Analysis and resolution of technical issues as well assupport with troubleshooting
• Collaboration with interdisciplinary andinternational project teams

What You Bring: University degree,preferably in Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technicalqualification at Bachelor's level or higher

• At least one year ofrelevant professional experience in plant engineering, powergeneration or a comparable technical environment Hands-on experiencein the design and implementation of fire protection systems,particularly water-, foam- or gas-based extinguishing systems Goodknowledge of fire protection systems, at least at an intermediatelevel
• Knowledge of relevant national and international fire protectionstandards and guidelines, such as NFPA, VdS or FM Global, is anadvantage
• Knowledge of fire alarm and detection systems is desirable
• Good understanding of technical systems, mechanical components andinterdisciplinary interfaces
• Ability to take responsibility fortechnical components and work packages and to develop solutions withregard to quality, cost and schedule
• Experience in coordinatingexternal contractors and suppliers as well as reviewing technicaldocumentation
• Strong communication and coordination skills ininterdisciplinary and international project teamsIndependent,structured and solution-oriented way of working combined with goodcommercial awareness
• Intercultural competence and willingness tocollaborate in international and virtual teams Willingness toundertake occasional international business travel Business-fluentEnglish and good German skills
