Ph.D. Cadidate (m/f/d)

• Development of mathematical models to describe cellular dynamics
• Implementation of the models in a suitable programming environment
• Simulation of cellular dynamics within complex 3D structures
• Application of the computer model as a virtual bridge between in vitro and in vivo studies
• Systemic analysis and interpretation of experimental data in the context of complex biological interactions
• Close interdisciplinary collaboration with experimental teams at TU Dresden and external partner laboratories

• University degree (M.Sc., Diplom, or equivalent) in mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering (with biological/biotechnological focus) or a related field
• Very good or excellent academic record
• Strong interest in interdisciplinary work, particularly in the application of mathematical and computational methods in biology and medicine
• Solid programming experience (e.g. in the statistical software R or Python)
• Knowledge of (stem) cell biology and experience in mathematical modelling are advantageous
• Reliability, creativity, flexibility, and the ability to work well in a team
• A cooperative, self-motivated, and goal-oriented work style
• Very good English skills

Remuneration is based on the classification provisions of the Collective Agreement for the Public Service of the Federal States (TV-L); placement in pay group E13 is possible, subject to the fulfillment of personal requirements.
