Product & UX Lead (m/f/d)

• Work with brokers, underwriters, clients and colleagues across the business to understand how they work and what the platform needs to solve.
• Turn what you learn into product requirements and prototypes that engineers can build from.
• Help decide what should be built first, what can wait and what should not be built.
• Design the user experience for internal teams who may use the platform every day and clients who may only use it occasionally.
• Test ideas with the people who will use the platform and use their feedback to refine the product before development progresses.
• Work closely with engineers as features are developed, answering questions and making product decisions when requirements change.
• Travel to our offices in Madrid, Lisbon, Düsseldorf, Hamm and Amstelveen to understand local processes and work directly with the teams using the platform.

• Several years of experience in product management, UX or a role combining the two, including experience in commercial or specialist insurance.
• Experience working within an insurance broker, MGA, insurer or corporate risk environment.
• A good understanding of how insurance broking works, including placement, commission, renewals and claims.
• The ability to turn business needs into product requirements that an engineering team can work with.
• Hands-on experience creating and testing prototypes rather than relying only on workshops or written requirements.
• Experience working directly with software engineers throughout product development.
• The judgement to challenge a request when there is a simpler solution or when building something is unlikely to solve the underlying problem.
• Fluent German and English. Both are required for this role.
