- Define test strategies for new features, determining what to cover manually and what to automate.
- Conduct detailed testing of new features, considering how editors will use them.
- Perform cross-platform testing on macOS and Windows, including varying hardware configurations.
- Develop and manage test cases, scripts, and automated tests, including using the latest AI tools to create custom testing solutions.
- Write clear, reproducible bug reports with detailed steps, anticipated versus actual results, logs, and crash data. Verify fixes and perform regression testing before releases. Provide product feedback on quality and usability, contributing to release readiness decisions, including collaborating with departments outside of Engineering. Work closely with our customers both online and in person to capture feedback and diagnose issues.
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere (or another non-linear editing platform) and familiarity with Adobe’s video and audio tools.
- Understanding of real-world editorial workflows and performance factors.
- Curiosity and a desire to learn about new technologies for software engineering and the technology industry.
- Problem-solving skills with an attention to detail.
- Good communication skills. A bachelor’s degree in computer science or TV/Film/Media, or, 3 years relevant practical experience in media or post production.
