System Engineer Manager, EMEA - Engineering Services (m/f/d)
Step into a hands-on leadership role at Corning as ourSystem Engineer (SE) Manager, EMEA.You'll lead a team of System Engineers, who are Corning’s product and system experts supporting three exciting markets: AI Data Centers, Carrier, and LAN networksfor buildings and campuses. Your team is the go-to resource for passive structured cabling solutions — advising customers on product selection and system design, and serving as the technical bridge between our customers, Field Engineers, and internal Development and Product teams. What You'll Do
As a Technical Expert:
- Deliver technical support, training, and presentations on Corning's passive structured cabling portfolio to end customers, installers, and distribution partners across AI Data Center, Telecom, and LAN markets.
- Advise customers on product applications — explain benefits, value propositions, and provide detailed part numbers for complete system solutions.
- Respond to customer RFIs with full system solutions, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and drawings tailored to their requirements.
- Provide pre-sales support: product recommendations, system design, installation training, and testing.
- Create datasheets and technical papers, and deliver clear Corning vs. competitor product comparisons. Share feedback with Development and PLM on product improvements, new ideas, and compliance with regional standards.
As a People Leader:
- Guide, coach, and develop your SE team — setting priorities, KPIs, and clear objectives while ensuring team members are properly trained to succeed.
- Lead change management to drive optimized processes and team efficiency, with a strong focus on Service Cloud CRM adoption.
- Own annual reviews, development plans, coaching, and administrative tasks such as expense approvals.
- Build a cohesive team culture where every member feels valued, and manage recruiting, onboarding, or workforce adjustments as needed.
- Collaborate closely with peer leaders across Commercial, Product Management, and Operations (Manufacturing, Development) to keep the wider organization aligned.
5-8 years relevant work experience; at least 3 years supervisory experience.
What You Bring
- University degree, preferably in Telecommunications or Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in Telecom, Data Center, or structured cabling design; at least 3 years supervisory experience.
- Proven success in leadership and managing technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting to C-level executives with the finesse to manage expectations and difficult conversations.
- Fluent in English, any other European language is a plus.
- Strong ability to resolve customer challenges through cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience driving organizational change across people, process, and technology.
- Direct customer engagement experience — presenting, training, and demonstrating value propositions.
- Established working relationships across Commercial, PLM, and Operations.

About the Role
Travel & Schedule
Travel:25–35%, mainly across continental Europe, with additional travel across EMEA (including Israel and Africa) and occasionally beyond. Flexibility for short-notice travel (24–48 hours) and overnight stays is essential. Requirements: Valid EU work authorization or citizenship, plus a current, valid driving license with a clean record for international car rentals. Hours: Minimum 40-hour work week plus travel time as required.
