Systems Engineer (m/f/d) - Avionics (Ingenieur/in - Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik)

Your Tasks

  • Avionics Architecture - Define and develop the avionics architecture of the satellite, covering initial sizing, trade-offs, interface budgets and HW performances
  • Manage the avionics subsystems during detailed design and testing phases as design authority
  • Programmatic responsibility of the avionics subsystems and corresponding teams, direct reporting to satellite project management
  • Data interface management and control on physical level and across the protocol stack
  • Data Handling Subsystem - Design and specification of the data handling subsystem
  • Evaluation of technical proposals from suppliers
  • Technical officer guiding the unit procurements throughout the lifecycle (from conception, through design and implementation phases, until unit-level verification)
  • Data handling subsystem integration into the spacecraft
  • Unit- and subsystem verification

Your Qualifications

  • A degree in engineering with a major in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, systems engineering, or compatible qualification
  • Professional experience with satellite projects in phase B/C/D
  • Self-managed, proactive and solution-oriented working style
  • Ability to team leadership as well as work in a multi-cultural team
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Fluency in German is desired (Language skills can be improved through company-facilitated trainings)
