Senior Chemical Systems Engineer - Chemical Distribution (m/f/d)

- Own critical chemical infrastructure: Take technical ownership of our Chemical Distribution Systems (CDS), Gas Distribution Systems (GDS), Slurry Distribution Systems (SDS) and other chemical utility systems that support semiconductor production.
- Ensure reliable plant operation: Maintain safe, reliable and uninterrupted operation of critical chemical supply systems while ensuring compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations.
- Solve complex engineering challenges: Lead troubleshooting activities, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and implement sustainable corrective actions to improve long-term system reliability.
- Drive continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to increase system availability, improve operational performance and optimize maintenance strategies through data-driven engineering.
- Support expansion projects: Contribute to the design, construction, commissioning and start-up of new chemical distribution systems and facility upgrades.
- Define engineering standards: Develop and improve preventive maintenance concepts, operating procedures, technical documentation, training materials and engineering standards.
- Coach and support technical teams: Provide technical guidance to technicians and junior engineers while promoting knowledge sharing across multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a comparable technical discipline
- Several years of experience operating, maintaining or engineering complex chemical process or utility systems within industrial environments
- Experience from one or more of the following industries is highly valued: Semiconductor, Specialty Chemicals, Chemical, Processing, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Industrial Gas, Advanced Manufacturing
- Experience with industrial process plants or chemical utility systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience with commissioning, maintenance or plant operations
- Knowledge of engineering documentation, operating procedures and maintenance strategies
- Fluent German and English skills
- Willingsness to travel to Taiwan for a 3-month technical training program
